State Tournament dress code – all contestants shall have their last name and state abbreviation professionally lettered on the back of their shirts. Shirts cannot be sleeveless. No cut-offs are permitted and closed-toe shoes must be worn. Contestants who do not comply may not be allowed to participate in the tournament.
All alcohol, tobacco products and CELL PHONES will be prohibited in the confines of the courts for all contestants, officials and scorekeepers.
You are required to prepare one end of the court prior to each game. Water as needed and rake the sand into a level playing surface. Also, paint the peg.
Any OHPA member who indulges in heckling or unfair rooting, uses profanity or abusive language, makes obscene gestures, or exhibits any other form of un-sportsmanlike conduct toward the contestants, officials or other OHPA members who are in the area of the courts shall be subject to expulsion from the tournament. (This includes while you are in the capacity of spectator!)
Score keepers are appreciated and NEEDED!! Please plan to help with score keeping before or after your scheduled class. You wouldn’t want to have to carry a clip board and keep your own, so help us make sure others don’t have to either.
Score keepers will be paid $1 per game. This comes out of your entry fee and will be paid by tournament officials when the score sheets are turned in.
Sign-up sheets will be at the secretary’s desk for shift judges and two will be needed for each shift. Judges will be paid $5.00/ shift.
